Having been born in Archdale, NC, Pastor Barton Adkins has lived in and around the High Point area his whole life. He graduated from Trinity High School in 2001 and attended High Point University. He graduated from HPU in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry and Business. He went on to earn a Masters Degree in Clinical Research from Campbell University and a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Wingate University. His entire life has been in service to the church beginning early on in childhood as the drummer for praise and worship services. He began preaching in high school and began pastoring in 2010. He was formally ordained as a minister in October of 2012. He has overseen unprecedented growth in the congregation and has coordinated the transition from our previous location at Life Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Archdale, NC to High Point Family Worship Center right here in High Point. When he is not preaching here at home, he is often guest speaking for other congregations across North America. He is also a regular contributor for Together Magazine. He and his father and brother make up The A-Men. They regularly sing gospel songs across the country. They currently have released two albums. He and his wife Stephanie Adkins were married in 2002. They live in Wallburg, NC with their three children Brooklyn, Adalyn, and Bowman.
